WO Mic USB Connection Guide: Enable USB Debugging & ADB on Windows

Connecting WO Mic over USB delivers 18–30 ms round-trip latency, zero Wi-Fi packet loss, and keeps your phone charged during long calls or streams. Unlike Wi-Fi, the USB transport uses Android’s ADB tunnel, which requires enabling USB Debugging on your phone once.

Step 1: Unlock Developer Options & Enable USB Debugging on Android

The menu path varies slightly by phone manufacturer:

Brand Where to Tap 7 Times Developer Options Location
Google Pixel / Motorola / Sony Settings → About phone → Build number Settings → System → Developer options
Samsung Galaxy (One UI) Settings → About phone → Software information → Build number Settings → Developer options (bottom of main list)
Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO (HyperOS & MIUI) Settings → About phone → OS version Settings → Additional settings → Developer options (also enable USB debugging (Security settings))
OnePlus / OPPO / Realme Settings → About device → Version → Build number Settings → Additional settings → Developer options

Inside Developer options, toggle USB debugging ON and confirm the prompt.

Step 2: Authorize Your PC’s RSA Key

  1. Plug your Android phone into a motherboard USB port using a data-capable cable (charge-only cables will not trigger ADB).
  2. Unlock your phone screen. A dialog titled Allow USB debugging? will pop up showing your PC’s RSA key fingerprint.
  3. Tick Always allow from this computer and tap Allow.

Step 3: Select USB Transport in WO Mic

  1. On the phone, open the WO Mic Android app, tap Settings → Transport, select USB, and tap the Play icon at the top.
  2. On Windows, open the WO Mic Client, click Connection → Connect, select USB, and click Connect.

Note for iPhone users: Apple does not expose ADB over Lightning/USB-C, so WO Mic on iOS connects exclusively over Wi-Fi.
